Dear Church was a shift in consciousness for me and I've been sharing it everywhere ever since I read it. I cannot wait to experience your beautiful theology once again in United States of Grace. Your willingness to share your trauma is nothing short of sacrificial love. Bless you Rev. Lenny.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I appreciate your vision and leadership in the ELCA. Progressive leaders like you and my own pastor, Matthew Cimorelli, are why I stay in this denomination. I want to get more white people talking about the sin of privilege and I look forward to deepening my own internal understanding of the ways in which I have been complicit in systemic racism and bias, how I can stop, and how I can work toward a more racially just world.
Holy cow, Lenny, your book is out of stock everywhere I look! Is that just superlatively great news, or am I ahead of its release date!? I can’t wait to get my hands on it....tell me where!
Thank you for this! I have read your book & follow you on Twitter. I have learned so much and acknowledge that I also need to unlearn so much of my white privilege. You have helped to change me and wake me up from my complacency. Thank you! Mary- a white mom, children minister in a suburban congregation
Wow! Thank you! I woke this morning and told myself I need a new podcast/book/something~~ and here you are! I first heard you in Nadia's first (I think) Corners broadcast. You and she are awesome! and I look forward to reading/hearing more from you.
Same. Its a very small community. I created the substack in anticipation of the new book, a few months ago. When I checked it this week and realized all you lovely folks had signed up. I wanted to honor that and say hi! Also say that a LOT more is coming.
Looking forward to what is to come.
